In your Question of the Day on 10/3/2016, the one about the ladies’ room at the Fremont, you wrote that QoD is now an "all-male province." What happened to long-time QoD-answerer Jessica? And You said that Jessica is gone from the QOD and now it's all male. Too bad. I enjoyed her humor and wit. I'm looking forward to seeing what the new person brings to the column. And My husband and I are going to miss Jessica. We loved her off-the-wall asides and detours to Quirkyland. Her answers were the perfect combination of extensive research and fun.

This is a question for your legal department. First the scenerio: My wife and her brother were in a Michigan casino (Soaring Eagle). My wife, who never plays the slots, sat down at a machine next to her brother, put her card in, put in a twenty, and began playing. She was winning, finally looked at her credits and saw she had $110. She cashed out. Now comes a casino employee with two security guards. They did not identify themselves, were very rude, and accused her of stealing $98 from an old man who was playing that machine and left the credits on it. My wife did not notice the credits and asked to see the man. Now comes another employee with two more security guards. They threatened prosecution. They produced a printout of the machine’s activity from the office and said they had the proof. My wife, 68, has cancer, is very timid, paid the money, and they went away. She never did see the old man. Is this normal procedure? Does this happen in Vegas casinos? Is it legal?

I like gambling at the Fremont Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, but the last several times that I have been there, I have noticed a strong vibration in the women's restroom near the buffet. The vibration is so bad that the stalls are shaking and rattling. It has been like this since at least June of this year, when I first noticed it. It could be longer, though. I am just wondering if an old building like this can handle a strong vibration for this many months without damage being done to the structure of the whole building. It feels like a constant earthquake that never stops. Can you check this out and tell me if this is something to worry about? I feel like it could collapse at any moment.

If a casino wants to change the rules or side bet for a table game, is approval required from the gaming commission? For example, change to 6-5 blackjack, or add or delete double after split pairs, or add a third zero at roulette, etc. How about other states?

The Affinity Group's Primm Valley resorts have taken down their sign, closed the employee dining room, and terminated the employment for several departments (about 150 from the list I have seen). The employees are required to sign a 67-page "contract" canceling all their rights (age discrimination, violation of ADA and more).

Is it me or has the M tightened up its slots and video poker machines? The last half- dozen times I have played there (over 6-8 months), my money has evaporated a lot faster than in the past. Is there any way that the state of Nevada can check on the validity of casinos claim on payouts?
