Awhile back you ran a reader poll about unusual places people had gambled, and one of those options was "on a plane." Has there ever actually been an in-flight casino?

I see that Alon has submitted plans for their resort, with Resorts World having a groundbreaking ceremony a few months back and nothing much else since then, which project has the best chance of coming to fruition? I would think with the troubles in Macau, the problems with the SLS, and Caesars issues, one would think now is not the time for a new resort.

Love LVA and of course the daily QOD. With that said, I am an early riser who lives in Central Texas (Central Time 2 hours earlier than Vegas) and the QOD does not arrive until after 10:00 am each day. Since I assume your computer automatically sends out the QOD each day, I was wonder if the computer send the QOD out around 4:00 am Vegas time so to arrive around 6:00 am for those who are early risers---or earlier for those on the East Coast? Still love it and look forward to it each day. Thanks for your hard work.

I was recently at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and was denied access to the outdoor blackjack tables. The security guard said unless we were staying in the hotel, we would have to pay the cover charge. We left without paying. I keep hearing that they cannot make you pay if you want to gamble - true?

Friday, July 17, around 4 p.m., there was a massive fire on the Interstate 15 that forced it to be shut down on both sides for a long period of time. As you know, the I-15 is the only real way to get to/from SoCal to Las Vegas. My guess is those wanting to go to Vegas from SoCal never made it - turning around and going home instead. How much did this fire cost Las Vegas as far as lost revenue for hotels and gambling? Being a "nothing" weekend in July probably minimized the damage. If this had been something like New Year’s Eve weekend or a weekend once college/pro football was underway how much more would the lost revenue have been?
