A little more than a year ago, Metro announced the installation of 37 cameras along the Strip. According to the news article, four of those cameras went into one intersection: Las Vegas Boulevard at Paris Drive/Bellagio Drive … W. Bellagio Drive, south-to-west traffic signal … Paris Drive East, southeast corner … Bellagio Drive/Paris Drive intersection, north-center median … Bellagio Drive/Paris Drive intersection, northeast corner Today, I count not four, but 12 cameras at that intersection, with two more being added. My question is, what gives?

Today, we address two related questions in one. Firstly: "Can you give us some information on the new hotel The Linq? Will the Quad hotel become The Linq or will they be two separate hotels? We are presently booked into The Quad for mid-October and have heard that The Linq is opening in October. We are also needing to know if their pool will be open by October 10. " Plus: "Now that the room upgrades are being done on the Quad and a name change coming this fall, is there any plans on doing something with the front of the building? With all the garish, over-the-top designs the casinos put forth to lure us in, I can't think of a more bland or uninviting exterior than the Quad: blank front with multiple doors that go nowhere and no signage. Are they going to do something about this with the new name change?"

When a casino goes bankrupt and closes, do the store and restaurant owners there have any rights? At Revel in Atlantic City, the stores and restaurants no longer take Revel comps or coupons.

Is Las Vegas really getting an NHL team?

On my last trip to Vegas I went on the high roller and I was curious how much it cost to build? How long, if ever, it will take to pay back their investment?

I'm coming to Vegas the last weekend of October to wager on college and pro football. Can you give me an idea of how much I would need to bet to get my room comped at a good, but not high-priced, hotel on the Strip? $5,000? 10,000?
