I just got my first promotional e-mail from the "new" Westgate (formerly LVH). I always read the fine print at the bottom. It says: "Any changes to reservations may be subject to revised rates or reservation change penalties." I can understand changes being subject to revised rates, but are "reservation change penalties" a new way to get more money, as with the resort fees? I called the hotel and got no specific answer from the reservationist, other than the first night’s deposit is charged if you cancel late -- no specific hours given to do that. To me, it says if I change my reservation at any time, there is some kind of penalty. What can you find out?

Thank you for answering my QOD on 7/7/2014 regarding the future of O'Sheas. The answer started me wondering about O'Sheas gaming license. Is it separate from CET's other casinos? I understand it's a long, involved process to get a gaming license, hence the one-day mobile casinos, etc. that spring up every so often to keep the current license intact. Does CET need to do something like that in regard to the possibility of a future or reincarnated O'Sheas? Also, what will become of the "dealertainers" at The Quad?

I used to see diners leave tips on the table for servers in buffets. It has been a long time since I have seen tips on any table. At the same time, cashiers now ask if you want to put a tip on your charge when you enter. I am interested to know what you can tell us about tipping in buffets. How much is considered appropriate? Who gets the tip when it is on the charge? Do servers keep the tips they receive or are they put in a pool and split somehow?
