What's with this $100 freeroll at Terrible's. How do I get it?

I was talking to a long-time Las Vegas resident (George) while gaming at Main Street Station. The interior design of Main Street Station is quite unique with exquisite detail from the light fixtures, and stained-glass ceiling to the wooden walls. George went on to an elaborate explanation on the interior and evolution of Main Street Station. George explained that the original wooden interior (as it still stands today) was hand-carved and imported from Germany. At that time there was a dance hall in the mezzanine above the casino floor. The original owner subsequently sold the casino to Debbie Reynolds, who George said screwed up the wooden interior by painting over portions of the wood. George went on to say that Reynolds ultimately sold the casino to the Station Casino Group that ultimately sold it to the Boyd Group. How much of this it true?

I read in LVA that the Nevada State Prison is one of the oldest in the country, dating back to the 1860s. There must be some good stories associated with it in all those years.

The recent questions on incomplete construction projects got me wondering about the unfinished steel shell between the Palazzo/Venetian. Wasn't this supposed to be condos? Is it most cost effective to complete it, or tear out the ugly eyesore?

It's been years since the dealers at Wynn Las Vegas and Caesars voted for union representation, yet no contract has been signed. Can it possibly take years to negotiate a contract if both sides are acting in good faith? Is there any chance of the government stepping in and forcing both sides into binding arbitration? I just returned from a trip to Vegas. While there I observed what is obviously the start of a construction project on the corner lot between the Planet Hollywood and Harmon Avenue. With the economy in its current state, I was surprised that any new building is being started. What will be going in there?

I can't help wondering what it costs Boyd every month to maintain the stalled Echelon Place construction site, compared to the monthly profit or loss of the Stardust at the time of its demise. Are those figures available?

Lee Mervin in 1957 was the winner of the Miss Atomic Bomb contest. What has happened in her life? Is she still around? She worked at the Sands Casino, which has long gone. Very pretty girl.
