I guess I’m an average Las Vegas gambler. I’m willing to risk $3,000 on a four-night stay in Las Vegas. If I were to come into a large sum of money, how would I go about getting better comps for my next visit? If I were willing to up my gambling risk over the four nights to $20,000, would I you call up my favorite casino and just ask for a host and then tell him I was going to show up with $20,000 to $30,000?

I recently was sent an offer from Planet Hollywood for the Miss America Pageant. I called to book the offer, which included two free tickets to the pageant and $150 in chips, only to be told that it was a mistake that I was sent the offer and they would not honor it. Does this happen often and should I pursue it further or just accept that they made a mistake?

In your recent Question of the Day where you provided the written responses to your poll regarding the worst trends people are noticing in Las Vegas, one reader included Wynn not comping some drinks in its casino as a negative trend. Have casinos really started not comping drinks to players, or is this just a Wynn policy for certain types of drinks?

I went to Arizona Charlie's on Boulder to try the $100 rebate deal. I was told that I could get up to $100 rebate credit (assuming that I lost that much) on my players card and that it was only good for slot play on certain machines. I was under the impression that we could get our money back. Can you clear this up?

Someone told me that the servers on the casino floors get charged for the "free" drinks that they serve. Is this true, or is it another of the Las Vegas legends? It will make a difference in how I tip if it is true. And how much does a cocktail waitress actually earn?
