As promised yesterday, here's much of your feedback from the previous Reader Poll, regarding which vanishing and obsolete casino games you miss the most -- some of which we'll investigate on your behalf, as soon as time permits.

We were just curious: With the explosion of the food-truck craze and the fact that many cities have made laws banning food trucks from within a certain number of feet from brick and mortar establishments, are there ever any food trucks on or near the Strip, or any laws prohibiting them? Also how many and what food trucks are there in Las Vegas?

On our recent visit (9/7-9/14) we discovered that Station Casinos has a Senior Special for their buffet on Wednesdays. Also, the Silverton has a Senior Special for the buffet on Mondays. When you acquire the 2014 coupons, could you find out what Senior Special each casino offers, and on what day of the week?

I was just wondering if you can tell us how the renovations of Bill's Gaming Hall is coming along? When is the projected date for it to reopen and what will its new name be? I'm sure you have told us before but I can't remember what it was.

My question is about restaurant trends in Las Vegas. First, every casino needed at least one or two fancy restaurants manned by "celebrity chefs." Then, the casinos all started opening "gourmet" burger joints, run by their celebrity chefs. Now, all of a sudden, every other casino is in a hurry to open a "gastropub" of some sort ... run by a celebrity chef. It seems like all of the casinos copy each other in a desperate rush to jump on the next "hip and trendy" fad. What's next, gourmet breakfasts to-go? Celebrity-chef juice bars? What do your food critics make of all of this?

"Iconic" Las Vegas restaurants: Part II.

I just saw your recent "Today's News" item about Carmines coming to Las Vegas. The flood of chain and branch restaurants from other cities coming to Vegas depresses me. I first noticed the trend when Caesars closed its signature Italian place for Rao's, followed by the iconic Nero's for some New York steakhouse that can be found in Atlantic City and God knows where else. I feel like Las Vegas is losing it special uniqueness. Are there any iconic Las Vegas restaurants left? If yes, would you please list them?

Regarding your recent QoD about the demise of casino coffee shops, I thought casinos had to have some kind of food available for purchase 24/7 - is that not so? Thank you!
