I asked Bob Dancer once if there was ANY "advantage" to playing the multi-line video poker machines and he said "No. The odds remain the same no matter how many games you play at one time." Knowing Bob Dancer's knowledge of the game, I am certain that his answer was spot-on correct, but it still makes no sense to me. Doesn't the chance of getting a dealt royal flush change the overall odds?

Back in October 2008 on LVA’s blackjack-tournament message boards, Anthony Curtis made mention of an upcoming QoD about early tournament teams to clear up the long-standing confusion as to whether A.C. and WSOP Champion Russ Hamilton had been on the same team. Whatever became of that? It's been three months. Are there really that many Qs in the queue that it hasn't come up yet?

I recently won a $2,400 jackpot at a locals casino in Vegas. Once the slot attendant & staff paid out my money, I really didn't have a clue how much if any to tip her. Should one tip the staff on a jackpot winner? If so, what are the tipping guidelines?

I live in Canada and found a tito cash ticket from my last trip to Las Vegas. The ticket is worn from being in my wallet (unnoticed) and is 11 months old. If I do not get back to Las Vegas, what, if anything can I do? I believe you answered this question awhile back, but I missed reading that answer. Thank you.

I have been told that the "nuts" hand in no-limit Texas hold 'em originated when a gambler actually removed the nuts from his wagon to bet on his "winning hand." Is this true? If not true, where did the term origionate?

My question is about slot machines. Thirty years ago when I first started vacationing in Las Vegas, slots were little more than an afterthought, exiled to the far corner of the casino where little old ladies with coin buckets and dirty fingers pulled handles and went cross-eyed from watching the reels spin. Today, they occupy well more than half the casino. To what do you attribute the increase in the popularity of machine games?

Do the casinos ever employ "shills" to work the Texas hold 'em tables? I saw a job posting for a "Proposition Player Position" with Cannery Casino Resorts. Is this the same thing as a shill? If not, what’s the difference? What are they hired to do?
