In a recent answer, you noted that access to the Hard Rock pool is $20 for day use. The Hard Rock pool has swim-up blackjack. I thought Nevada Gaming Regulations prevented charging for access to a gaming table. I know there was a regulation change for the Playboy Club. Does this regulation change mean that everyone (Hard Rock included) can put tables in exclusive areas or do you need a Gaming Control waiver?

My friend was cleaning out his closet the other day and found four $500 chips from the Landmark Hotel & Casino, formerly located in Las Vegas. Can you tell us the story behind the casino (was there some type of fraud going on with the place?) ... and most importantly, can we still cash those chips? What is on the Landmark site today?

I go to Vegas because I love to play single-deck blackjack. Now I'm finding out more and more from current on-line research that the single-deck games are lousy (paying 6 to 5 on blackjack etc.). If I wanted to play a six deck game, I'd stay at home and give my business to the local Indian Casino. Are there any good single-deck games to be found in Las Vegas or has it gone the way of the dinosaur?

I found your answer to the walking the marker question (4/7) interesting. But I had one problem with it. I've heard the term marker before, but I'm still not totally sure what a marker is or how it works. Can you please explain? Thanks!

Thanks for the answer about high-roller chips a few weeks ago. But what I've always been curious about are the colors of all the other chips. I've seen red, green, purple, black, brown, blue, silver, etc. Are there standard colors of chips? Either way, can you tell us what denominations they all are?

While playing solitaire on my computer, I noticed an option called "Las Vegas Rules." Was solitaire ever played as a gambling game in Las Vegas?

What are the meals that card players are now using to get past the long sessions when playing, say 8-12 hours. I heard that one of the card player's wives came up with a diet that gives them a wake-up call.

One evening last fall I was strolling through the Wynn looking for a realitively "cheap" craps game and came across a private table with four players. Curious, I looked to see the limit they were playing and noticed one Hollywood-looking type playing with brownish-colored $25,000 chips -- and he had several racks of them!! I've been curious ever since as to what is the highest limit casino chip actually used as legal tender on a casino floor.
