What are the ordinances in Las Vegas concerning local residents owning a working slot/video poker machine?

I heard that the Bad Beat at Caesars was recently hit. Do you know what the winning and losing hand were worth? Also, what was the player share since all players at the Caesars properties share the remaining 70%.

I assume you are following the drama on Johnny Football. At least, I'm sure the sports bettors are. I saw that they had pulled down all of the lines for Texas A&M after the controversy hit. My question is, what happens to bets that were already made in this case. Are they still valid, or could the casino choose to void them? I love looking at pictures of old Vegas. Just about every vintage casino picture I see has a sign promoting faro. It seems that back in the day faro was the game. Can you talk a bit about faro and how it went out of favor. Could it come back?

You mentioned the "legendary" Jackie Gaughan in a recent QoD, but I don't recall ever seeing an article about him, his background, whether he's still alive (I know he had health problems) and active. He always treated his employees with respect, and spoke to them and to customers in a friendly manner. He even did things for customers, like getting change for some elderly folks. How about some background and info about him?

Back around the mid-’80s, I remember one of the casinos in downtown Las Vegas had a massive, eightreel slot machine that was called "Big Bertha." Can you dig up any info/trivia?

A friend and I are starting to get more into playing poker in Las Vegas, on the Strip and downtown. Could you recommend a few books on poker that might be helpful and entertaining? Those we've looked at are too detailed for our level of experience and written in a pretty dry and boring style.
