I was at a Bob Dancer class and a Florida man asked a question about gaming in Florida vs. Nevada. Bob answered that Florida is a Class II gaming state. What are the gambling "classes" and how did they come about? And why would I want to know about the different classes if I am gambling in an Indian casino, or in states other than Nevada?

For years I kept seeing a sign for something called "Poker Battle" on a building just off the I-15 and wondered what it was. I read about it being a poker social networking community or some such. I just drove by again this week and the building is finally re-branded-now suddenly selling BBQ or patio equipment or something. What is/was Poker Battle and what happened to it?

A Cox Cable commercial right now has a bunch of ladies playing poker. One of them mentions that they are going to play with "one-eyed royals." I've never heard that term. Is it a real, or did one of Cox's "moonmen" make it up?

Love LVA and "Question of the Day." I read them every day. Quick question: In the monthly newsletter, you always give the "gambling win." For example the win/loss is up/down in Nevada, the Strip, Boulder Highway, etc. Is this "gambling win" the gross win by the casinos, the net win (wins minus losses), gross profit (net win minus other expenses), the drop, etc.? Should be an interesting answer. Just wondering.

I presume this will show up in your "news" column but would LOVE to hear much more detail about how the same winning number supposedly came up seven times IN A ROW on a Rio roulette wheel.

I love watching movies and TV shows shot in Vegas. I've noticed in the older films that people stood while playing slot machines. Now, almost every slot has a chair. When did this happen? Who started it? How fast did everyone else copy it?
