What was the "Dome of the Sea" restaurant and where was it? I just bought a circa 1975 Las Vegas board game from a resale shop, and since the Dome is mentioned as one of the pieces of real estate that can be "purchased" while playing, I'm now curious about it's history, especially since it doesn't seem to exist anymore.

In your 3/7 QOD answer, you state that the temple located outside of a casino that a reader remembers was the Erawan temple outside of Caesars; are you certain that the reader wasn't thinking of the teakwood temple in the parking lot of the Castaways, just north of Caesars on the Strip?

On a rerun of "CSI Las Vegas" the actors referred to a kidnapping of Steve Wynn's daughter. They said he paid off the kidnappers without going to the FBI. Did this really happen?

Several years ago I heard that Max Baer was going to open a casino, possibly with a hillbilly theme. On subsequent visits I never found it. Did it ever happen?

I recently read something regarding the closing of the Luxor Nile River attraction in 1995 and that while the official line is that it was closed due to an upgrading of the property, one of the real reasons for the closing was that there were ghost sightings by customers of workers killed during the construction. This is sweet (not that the people died, of course, but the fact that they were possibly haunting tourists)! Tell me more, please. Do these ghosts ever show up in any of the other areas of the Luxor?

I started going to Las Vegas in the '80s. I remember one time walking out of a casino and finding a temple in their parking lot. If I remember correctly it was a Hindu or Buddhist temple. What was the story with the temple and what casino did I stumble out of?

In the early '80s the Jockey Club had an excellent bar and a small but very good menu. They built a small casino but it never opened. I know it was a timeshare deal. What's the story behind this whole thing?

South of the Tropicana on the Strip was a funky motel called the Glass Pool Inn or something like that, and it had a little swimming pool with windows in the side. We loved driving by just to look at it, even when the motel was closed. Then it was gone! Do you have a history and I'd love to see a photo. Thank you. Love QOD!

I recently heard that there are plans to build a 30-story high rise "farm" in Las Vegas and that food produced there is to be used in local casinos. OK, I’m really curious. Who’s brainchild is this? Are they planning to use hydroponics or some other means to produce products? What do they plan on growing? How many people will this employ? Are casinos involved and backing this? So many questions ... so I’ve turned to the LVA gods!
