We recently drove by the defunct Moulin Rouge, which I understand was the first and only casino built to market to a black clientele during a time when black entertainers were not allowed to stay at the Strip hotels they were performing at. I know that plans were in the works to restore it in the last couple of years before it was seriously damaged by a suspicious fire. Are there any current plans for this property?

I have searched your archives and not found any information about Del Webb's Mint Hotel & Casino that was on Fremont Street in the downtown area. My husband took me there when I first turned 21. I recently returned downtown and the hotel is no longer there. What happened?

This will probably sound like an off-the-wall question, but in your opinion, if Las Vegas were human, how would you characterize its life cycle? What I mean is, how old would it be now in human years? What was Vegas like at two years old, as an adolescent, young adult, middle-aged — that kind of thing?
