I remember reading your history of the Stardust and now that it’s gone, do you think that Caesars takes its place as having the most sordid past of all the Las Vegas casinos? And if you do, how about telling us about it?

What are some of the craziest/wackiest records that some of the hotels or casinos in Vegas have?

Please tell us the hotels that are owned by the various companies in Las Vegas. I assume that would tell me who shares computer information and this would be very helpful for those of us who play blackjack well. I look forward to your list by the way, if you had coupons for single guys, I would be glad to join again, but for now I really enjoy the information on your site.

On New Year's Eve 2007, a friend told me that people were turned away from casinos on the Strip, unless they had a room key or player's club card to the casino. Is that true, and, if so, why?

I have a slightly odd question for you. I tend to get rooms with nice views. A lot of times, though, the windows have a spotty layer of dirt on the outside, which detracts from picture quality. Do the hotels clean their windows from the outside? If so, how often?

We’re going to a video poker tournament in late January. Any advice on how to play it is deeply appreciated.

I heard a potential new Las Vegas urban legend yesterday. The story is that the 40,000 Brits that came to Las Vegas for the Mayweather-Hatton fight were able to drink the MGM Grand dry of beer. Then the MGM had to scramble to buy beer at many of the local liquor stores. Could this possibly be true?

Your answer to the question on beer consumption at casinos made me wonder if they recycle all of that glass and aluminum or just throw it out with the rest of the trash. How recycling-sensitive are the hotel-casinos in general?

How can slot change people put "out of order" signs on slots for two hours for patrons? This practice is very unfair, but I've seen it done at the Fremont casino.

We're considering coming to Las Vegas for Christmas this year. Does the city decorate and celebrate the holidays? Is there anything special that goes on during that time? Do you know of anything going on this coming holiday season?
