I have to admit after reading about Binion and the horse statute in your recent QOD we went down to visit South Point Casino on our last trip. That complex is huge. When viewing the statue I smelled horses. My wife and I followed the smell to the South Point Arena and ended up spending several hours watching a horse jumping show! It was an enjoyable event. Can you tell us more about their arena and shows?

There used to be a statute of Benny Binion somewhere behind Binion's (possibly corner of Odgen and Casino Center). Is this the statue that is now at South Point? If yes, what transpired to move it and if not what happened to it? Also, where is Benny Binion buried?

You wrote recently about how one of the Maloof brothers was trying to sell his Palms Place pad, and it got me wondering more about what George and the others are all up to these days? Seems the family went from being so high profile to now, when I never hear about them at all.

Did the huge place at the Palms (the one owned by the former owner, with the helicopter pad) ever sell?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the band Hootie & the Blowfish once own/run a bar in Las Vegas and what ever became of it?
