I watch and record shows about Las Vegas history and documentaries whenever I can at home in Canada. Why do there not seem to be as many shows about Las Vegas these days? The ones I see now seem to all be very outdated re-runs.

Can you tell me the story behind the chess board in Annie Duke's new book Decide to Play Great Poker? A friend of mine who knows chess was leafing through my copy, saw the chess board graphic, and said "That's a famous board." But he didn't know the details.

Could you please share a little background on your new mayor, Carolyn Goodman? Was she previously in politics? Your publication "The First 100" said she started the Meadows School, an outstanding private academy. Any other information would be appreciated. Oscar Goodman seemed to be a much needed and positive force for Las Vegas. For him, the showgirls seemed to work, but I'm not sure something like Chippendale dancers would be right for the new mayor.
