Has there been any update on the fate of Speed The Ride, which you last informed us had a possible new home at (yet another) shopping mall that was planned for somewhere in the valley?

My wife and I are going to Las Vegas the first week of August with our young boy, who is 3 1/2 years old. This is going to be the 13th time we visit Vegas but the first with a child. We will stay at our timeshare at Hilton Grand Vacation Club (the one on the Strip). I know that there are some expensive attractions in the casinos for the family, but I would like to know if there are other free or less-expensive activities we can do in Vegas with our toddler. We're renting a car for the 2 weeks, so we can go off-Strip.

With the popularity of pawn shops on TV, many of them Vegas-based, what can you tell us about the best destinations in Vegas to buy and sell our stuff?

In 2009 there were news stories about James Hackett, a tourist in Las Vegas, disputing thousands of dollars in Amex charges at the Club Paradise topless club. He claimed that he had blacked out and shouldn't be responsible. I figure the guy should have to pay up, and was curious as to how this turned out. Can you let us know how the outcome?

I have always been perplexed about one comfort not afforded at the major resorts in Las Vegas: Is there any reason why with all the millions spent I can not find a major Strip hotel that has an inside pool? You can find massive exotic pools, but none inside. Indoor pools would be nice to have for the moderately hot summers, as well as the late fall and winters.

I have been coming to Vegas at least 4-5 times a year since 1988 and I have yet to find a hotel that has a steam room in their fitness room or spa. Do you know of any in Vegas? Thanks.

Concerning a previous answer about resort fees, I understand that any business' goal is to make money on everything they do or sell, but how can they possibly justify $20/day for high-speed Internet access? This costs me, at home, less than $1/day! How do the resorts get charged? One fee for the entire property? Per room? Per usage? And charging for phone usage in this day of almost (surgically attached) universal cell phone ownership … does ANYONE actually use in-room phones for anything besides intra-hotel usage?
