After reading the QoD on 3/30/17, I have stated using the OPP card counting system at our local Native American casinos here in New Mexico.  Very easy to use, thanks for that info.  I started wondering though, is there any type of counting system that works with the shuffle machines that are so prevalent now?

My wife and I are seriously considering moving to Summerlin to retire in a year or two.  We've read some (to me at least) alarming reports about scorpion infestations in the LV area. I don't want to spend my retirement fearing putting my feet in shoes or hunting around at night with a black light. Are media reports exaggerating, or are scorpion infestations as common as I've read? I don't want to overreact if they’re not a real concern.

I’ve always been fascinated that someone could make their living gambling, so I was wondering how changes over the past 25 years have affected the number of professional video poker players in Las Vegas. I would guess that professional play on the Strip has long become untenable, but has play off the Strip also tightened in any way to significantly reduce the number of people who make a living playing VP? If so, could anyone estimate how much of a % decrease there has been in that time frame?

I visit 3-5 times a year and have noticed an increase in lines and waiting for the shuttle bus to the car rental center. Have the recent increases in visitors put stress on the system? They have hired more guides and put up more fences, but the service is worse, and you’re packed like sardines in buses after long lines.

Got any tips or suggestions for mobility-challenged people?

Was the shrimp cocktail at Du-par's at the Golden Gate one of the restaurant's specialties or was a specialty of the Golden Gate? And if it was DuPar's, do they have it at their other place in town?
