About your Question of the Day on Sept 1s regarding Indian gaming … if one goes north on I-15 from Las Vegas and gets off at the exit for Valley of Fire State Park, there is (was???), I thought, a truck stop and small casino there that had some connection to Native Americans.

If I’ve invented a new card game, which I feel everyone would like to play, how do I present it to casinos for their consideration? In general, what’s the process by which new card games are brought to casino floors?

I've had previous QoDs published many years ago (the first was about cell phones not being allowed in sports books). But my Qu. of the Day today today is about Donald Trump and the reason that he is NOT allowed to open a casino in Las Vegas? I remember reading about it somewhere, but I cannot remember the correct answer. Keep up the GREAT work. Thanks.

What's the status of the Desert Inn time capsule? My understanding is that it was buried on the resorts 50th anniversary in the year 2000, just a few weeks before Steve Wynn bought the place. It was scheduled to be opened in 2050 I think. Does Steve have it? Or did he just build The Wynn on top of it and forget about it?

Since Jersey Boys is closing I was wondering if Frankie Valli is still alive. Love the music but haven't heard anything about him lately. Also is it possible that he could show up for closing night if he is still getting around. Would love to hear more about him. Thank you!

With all of the Native American casinos in this country why aren't there any in Vegas? Also I heard that they actually make more my than the Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos combined. Is this true?

I was surprised to see the Golden Nugget listed as a hotel with no plans for hotel self check-in kiosks in a recent QoD. The last time I was there (granted, close to a year ago), they had kiosks near the Carson Tower elevator lobby that allowed guests to check-in to the hotel and get their room keys. I found some older TripAdvisor reviews that mentioned them there, too. Have they removed them?

Few Questions of the Day have generated as much feedback, or controversy, as our recent one about the pros and cons of moving to Southern Nevada, particularly skewed toward seniors. Specifically, readers took issue with the contention, conveyed to our writer by a representative of on of the non-profits offering services to senior citizens, that Social Security benefits vary based on the cost of living in different parts of the country. Today, we revisit that issue, along with a few other aspects of relocating here that we didn't touch on, or not in detail, in the original answer.
