I'm curious about the process for international performers who come to Las Vegas to work. I assume they have to get visas. For the recently closed show, Sydney After Dark, do those Australians immediately have to return home, or are they allowed to look for a new job in the same field?

Today, we address two related questions in one. Firstly: "Can you give us some information on the new hotel The Linq? Will the Quad hotel become The Linq or will they be two separate hotels? We are presently booked into The Quad for mid-October and have heard that The Linq is opening in October. We are also needing to know if their pool will be open by October 10. " Plus: "Now that the room upgrades are being done on the Quad and a name change coming this fall, is there any plans on doing something with the front of the building? With all the garish, over-the-top designs the casinos put forth to lure us in, I can't think of a more bland or uninviting exterior than the Quad: blank front with multiple doors that go nowhere and no signage. Are they going to do something about this with the new name change?"

Are there any Las Vegas casinos that offer Solitaire?

I was in Vegas last week, and I noticed many of the columns supporting the Monorail are cracked. I was wondering if this might be another problem for this beleaguered endeavor?

Is there any free or cheap parking left in downtown LV? Back in the day, we'd park for free at Union Plaza; more recently at Binion's, but all of the casinos seem to have switched to paid parking.

What’s happening with the huge Brazilian festival that was announced for Vegas awhile back? I seem to recall reading that there was a special venue being built on the Strip somewhere and that MGM Grand was involved, but there have been so many announcements about new concert venues and arenas and festivals that I can't keep up with what's actually happening and what isn't. I don't seem to have heard any updates about this one so did I just imagine the whole thing or was it canceled or ??? Help!
