I was driving east on Fremont and saw about three blocks of "heritage" motels on the north side all boarded up and fenced off. Is this part of some project to restore them or are they all just going to be torn down?

What ever happened to Nevada Numbers? Is it still around?

I first started following the story about Steve Wynn wanting his dealers to split tips with supervisors when it broke some years back. Wynn has since won in court, but I am still puzzled by this story. Can you possibly shed some light on exactly why Wynn (and supposedly other casinos?) want dealers to split tips with supervisors. In general, how many employees split each tip/toke given at any table game? If I give a $25 tip to a table game dealer, how much is truly going to that dealer? I know it varies by casino, but I’d like an idea, especially at the bigger Strip properties.

What do you think about all of the new shopping malls that have been announced and/or are under construction on the Strip? I count five new malls (at Treasure Island, the Linq, Bally’s Grand Bazaar, the new "urban park" next to New York-New York, and the remodel of the Tropicana). I come to Las Vegas to gamble, not to shop, but maybe I’m in the minority now. Has shopping replaced night/day clubbing as the latest trend for Strip casinos?

With keno disappearing from the casino eateries, is there any talk of maybe any other type of gambling while you eat coming in the future like maybe a mini touch screen sports book or slots?

We were at the Atomic around Nov. 15. The bar was closed and there was a man sitting outside explaining there was a crew from "The First 48 Hours." Any idea why they were there?

We drove by the Las Vegas Club recently. Does the baseball player above the door facing The Plaza commemorate anyone in particular? If so, what's the story?

Who is "Dotty" and how did she come up with all her bar/grills? I see more and more all over, including two new ones on St Rose, northeast of M Resort!

How did Las Vegas, Reno, and Carson City get their names?
