In a recent QOD you wrote about the Elvis statue at LVH: "If you didn't know anything about Elvis' history at the original International, it could be confusing, but fans still make an annual pilgrimage." Do please enlighten us.

MGM just launched a Winter Getaway promo that runs through February. Under the "special events" section, it lists the Oasis Pool at Luxor as open daily. I thought this pool originally closed for the winter. Will this be open and are more resorts moving to keeping pool(s) open all winter?

All I keep hearing is how Caesars Entertainment is deep in debt to the tune of $23 billion, and possibly going to file bankruptcy, yet they get money to fund the Linq, the Quad, Gansevoort, the room upgrades in the Jubilee Tower rooms at Bally’s, and now talk of doing the same for the Jubilee Tower suites and the Octavius Tower at Caesars. How’s that possible? Who’s lending them the money, when the company’s finances are in such dire straits?

A year or so ago, you reported that for the first time in history, casinos took in more revenue from non-casino sources than from gambling. I just read a report by the American Gaming Association (AGA) that states that ‘more than two-thirds of industry revenue is generated on the casino floor, while the remaining third is generated via the food and beverage, hotel and other lines of business within the commercial casino properties.’ So which is correct? I know that you can make statistics say anything you want, but am I interpreting these two statements wrong?

The current issue of KNPR's Desert Companion magazine contains a feature about well-known TV shows that have a "Las Vegas" episode. I seem to recall that QoD did something very similar way back when and that your list was a lot longer, or am I just imagining that?

What is the deal with the Jockey Club? I cannot believe it is still able to exist on such a prized piece of land wedged in the middle of Cosmo and Bellagio. Why wouldn’t MGM or the original developer of Cosmo buy it? Who owns it? I found their website and they still rent rooms apparently. I have wondered this for a while and really tweaked my interest last visit. Thank you!

Will the new $100 bills be accepted by existing gaming machines in Las Vegas?

I recently watched a TV program called "Cheating Las Vegas". One person featured was a slot cheat named Dennis Nikrasch, who stole 10, perhaps 16 million dollars from Vegas slots in the '70s and '80s. He was caught, spent 7 1/2 years in prison, was released in 2004, and died in 2010. However, there was never any mention of what happened to all that money. Do you know if he spent it all, if some of it was recovered, or what may have happened to it?
