What is the deal with the Jockey Club? I cannot believe it is still able to exist on such a prized piece of land wedged in the middle of Cosmo and Bellagio. Why wouldn’t MGM or the original developer of Cosmo buy it? Who owns it? I found their website and they still rent rooms apparently. I have wondered this for a while and really tweaked my interest last visit. Thank you!

I recently watched a TV program called "Cheating Las Vegas". One person featured was a slot cheat named Dennis Nikrasch, who stole 10, perhaps 16 million dollars from Vegas slots in the '70s and '80s. He was caught, spent 7 1/2 years in prison, was released in 2004, and died in 2010. However, there was never any mention of what happened to all that money. Do you know if he spent it all, if some of it was recovered, or what may have happened to it?

How can a person find out what casinos have their favorite slot machines? I know Boyd casinos maintain an online listing and search, but how about others? Also, is there a central listing anywhere for Las Vegas?

On our recent visit (9/7-9/14) we discovered that Station Casinos has a Senior Special for their buffet on Wednesdays. Also, the Silverton has a Senior Special for the buffet on Mondays. When you acquire the 2014 coupons, could you find out what Senior Special each casino offers, and on what day of the week?

My wife and I visited Las Vegas last week (9/15-9/18) and noticed two very tall cement towers sitting across from Luxor on Las Vegas Boulevard. Is this just another project that was a victim of the economic "meltdown" of five years ago ... or something else?

In a recent QoD you stated, 'If the current writer hadn't worked many years ago on a documentary series for TLC about magic and magicians (which, as an aside, included the first instance ever of Teller actually speaking on camera) [...]' and I'm curious: Was this earlier than Teller's speaking role in the HBO film Long Gone, in 1987?
