I seem to recall that back in the day, there was a restaurant in Las Vegas that served rattlesnake. It's probably long gone, but are there any places today that serve exotic meats like that?

LVA reported that there's a good blackjack game at a truck stop near Silverton. When I check thealamo.com, it takes me to Sparks in Reno where there is a truck stop and good blackjack. Am I confusing two Alamos?

I heard rumors that Downtown is getting wired for Free Wi-Fi. Any updates as to when that might happen and the coverage area? How might that affect hotel resort fees that cover Wi-Fi access?

With the recent question about indoor pools, you had the link to your list of all pools and listed hours. I see only a couple hotels even have pools open past 5 or 6 p.m. If you can drink and gamble 24/7, why can't you swim 24/7? Especially since most list 'swim at own risk' and/or don't even have lifeguards on duty?

I was excited to hear about Loberace CeeLo Green's Liberace-inspired show. I was excitedly looking for tickets for our visit in July but I can't find anything about it anywhere on the Internet anymore, not even a closing announcement anywhere in the LV online press or anything on the Planet Hollywood website, let alone tickets. What happened? Is it closed for good?

I have always been perplexed about one comfort not afforded at the major resorts in Las Vegas: Is there any reason why with all the millions spent I can not find a major Strip hotel that has an inside pool? You can find massive exotic pools, but none inside. Indoor pools would be nice to have for the moderately hot summers, as well as the late fall and winters.

The question about the Big Bertha slot machine reminded of a huge slot machine at The Four Queens, I think it was called The Queen's Machine. Do you have any information about this? Do they still have it? If not what became of it? Also, do they still have the 12-player blackjack table?

In the border town of Wendover NV, all the casinos got together and changed their blackjack rules. They now allow doubling down on 10 and 11 only. How much does this change the house advantage?

My question is about Mermaids casino downtown. In 1956 it opened as Silver Palace casino. At that time, it was a two-story casino and had over 16,000 square feet of gaming. What happened to the upstairs? Is it in current use as something other than a casino? Anyone that has been inside Mermaids knows it to be a small slots joint, but it appears that was not always the case.
