My wife and I are frequent Las Vegas visitors so we both enjoy watching the "Vegas" series on TV. I’m sure for dramatic purposes some of the content is fictional but is the Sheriff Lamb story based on any book?

I just read your "Deal of the Week" about the Venetian Epicurean Affair and by chance I will be in Las Vegas that week. I know that price-wise this is a good deal, but I was curious what your "Eating Las Vegas" food critics think of the event? If you are sampling poolside, will the food still be as good as the in-restaurant experience? And will your esteemed trio of critics be attending the event? (P.S. I already bought a ticket!)

What can you tell me about Bellagio's High Tea at the Petrossian lounge? We'll be there April 3rd, and might like to try it. Thanks!

In Tuesday's QoD, you wrote that Cafe Lago was the coffee shop at Caesars Palace but that's not correct. Cafe Lago was the buffet, right?

I know a lot of the casino hotel coffee shops have closed but my question is, are there any dinner specials offered in any of the hotel restaurants like there used to be? I am talking about the off-the-menu items you used to have to know about in the coffee shops that were not usually posted and that you were not always told about unless you asked?

Concerning a previous answer about resort fees, I understand that any business' goal is to make money on everything they do or sell, but how can they possibly justify $20/day for high-speed Internet access? This costs me, at home, less than $1/day! How do the resorts get charged? One fee for the entire property? Per room? Per usage? And charging for phone usage in this day of almost (surgically attached) universal cell phone ownership … does ANYONE actually use in-room phones for anything besides intra-hotel usage?

What ever happened to the knuckleheads who murdered the guinea fowl at the Flamingo?

A friend and I are starting to get more into playing poker in Las Vegas, on the Strip and downtown. Could you recommend a few books on poker that might be helpful and entertaining? Those we've looked at are too detailed for our level of experience and written in a pretty dry and boring style.

The Dunes, Sands, New Frontier, Sahara, the Desert Inn are all iconic Vegas casino names that regrettably are no longer with us, but which still retain a strong nostalgic pull for many Vegas visitors. With new resorts in the pipeline with eyebrow-raising names like Resort World, I wondered if you could update us on who owns the intellectual property rights to the names of those (and other) old classic Vegas casinos and the likelihood that someone might resurrect one of them in the near/distant future? Thanks!

I saw that The D has a mechanical horse racing game. Do you know if they have any thing planned for the Kentucky Derby with this game? Only the Tropicana. It's near the race and sports book.
