One thing which out of town visitors always question me on is the large number of attorneys who advertise on Las Vegas television. Is there really that much of a need for the number of attorneys?

I've been looking at the data on sportsinsights.com (the free section) to see how the public is betting NFL games. My question is, why doesn't the imbalance of betting action correlate better to line movements? For example, a Packers-Niners game late last season opened at GB -9.5 and 80% of the money came in on the Packers during the week. But the line went down to -9. I understand that lines move in response to smart money, but with this level of imbalance I would think that the line would go up, not down. There are plenty of examples like this every week. I'm very curious to get your insights.

The other night I noticed a new sign on Main Street in front of the somewhat remodeled Plaza. The sign stated "Swingers Club" and "Dueling Pianos". Does the term "swingers" on that sign make reference to a '40s and '50s genre of music or is it advertising the sexual networking genre?

I remember there was a stand-alone restaurant/nightclub on the Strip called 'Seven'. It usually looked empty and there was a tacky gift shop attached which detracted from the ultra-cool vibe they seemed to be going after. Where was it and what was built in its place?

From what I can tell, the sports books have three basic types of parlay cards: ties-lose, ties-win, and 1/2-point, on the latter of which there are no ties. Payoffs vary to compensate for the treatment of ties in each case. Is there a set order of how these cards compare to each other? That is, if I'm in a book with two of them or all three, is there a basic strategy that tells me which one to play?
