Could you please share a little background on your new mayor, Carolyn Goodman? Was she previously in politics? Your publication "The First 100" said she started the Meadows School, an outstanding private academy. Any other information would be appreciated. Oscar Goodman seemed to be a much needed and positive force for Las Vegas. For him, the showgirls seemed to work, but I'm not sure something like Chippendale dancers would be right for the new mayor.

A Las Vegas bar called Rounders has a coupon that pays a $20 bonus for a "straight to the 8," but it doesn't explain what that means. Does a straight to the 8 end on 8, begin on 8, or simply include 8 anywhere in the straight?

Today's is a two-parter on a common theme: "What happened to the Augustus Cafe at Caesars Palace? Is it closed or being refurbished?" And: "I was recently on the Excalibur's website checking on the breakfast specials that were being offered at Dick's Last Resort and noticed that the Sherwood Forest Cafe wasn't listed any longer. Did Excalibur close their coffee shop?"
