I will be in Las Vegas at the beginning of October for a week's stay, which will be with family members out by the Santa Fe casino. I’ve played a little Texas hold ’em online, but have never played in a live game and would like to try. Are there any casinos that have beginner tables, or even better, offer lessons like they do for blackjack and craps?

Reading the response to Friday's question about the gas station, and looking at the 1968 photograph, I'm wondering what was on the site previously of each of the current Strip hotels? For example, what hotels are now on the site of the old Desert Inn, Frontier, or Dunes hotels? It might even be interesting to go off-Strip a little. Thanks for the nostalgia.
