Texas does not have a casino. I live in Texas. They had one in Livingston (tribal) but they outlawed it. I heard there was one in west Texas but how can that be it the one in East Texas was outlawed?

Your QOD on casinos per state did not include Alabama. I know of at least five Alabama "casinos," including one you that Stiffs & Georges mentioned as having the sixth largest number of machines in the U.S. These are officially "Bingo" machines but there are video poker and Double Diamonds and other familiar varieties. No table games, of course. Did you exclude these because they are officially Bingo parlors, or because Alabama is currently going through a controversy about their "casinos"?

I saw a blurb online about the Las Vegas "Walk of Stars", and never knew it existed. What can you tell us about it?

I remember reading an article in Rolling Stone magazine that the owner of CBGB's planed on moving the 'joint' to Vegas after its closing in New York. This included everything in the place...even the toilets. Any updates on the relocation?

Jim Murren appears to be saying that CityCenter is his idea and he's the driving force behind the design. Is that strictly true? Before his departure, what part did Terry Lanni play in the project?

In a recent QoD (12/20) you list the number of casinos in each state; my question is what qualifies a business as being a casino? I live in Maine and only know of one "casino," Hollywood Slots, yet you list there being 3 here. What am I missing?

Binion's recently closed its hotel part of the operation downtown. Are any of the downtown hotels other than the Nugget trying to "upgrade" their rooms in 2010 to attract a more upscale client? I love downtown, but just don't feel comfortable staying there yet.

Having been to Las Vegas in the months of Dec., Jan., and Feb., I was wondering which months during the year you consider to be the better ones as far as the weather is concerned?

Several years ago, my wife was playing $1 blackjack at Slots A Fun when a gentleman who introduced himself as Tony sat next to her. He was very friendly and offered tips to my wife and the other players. He even left the table for few minutes to get play coupons for everyone from Circus Circus. Tony looked familiar, but it wasn't until later in the day that I realized it was Anthony Curtis (I’d seen him on the Travel Channel.) Does Anthony still mingle with the tourists?

I am interested in knowing how the sponsership for the WSOP works. I noticed the winner, Joe Cada, prior to the Final 9 break, was wearing Ultimate Bet logos and then after the 3-month break, came back wearing PokerStars. I have to imagine that the sponsership offer from Pokerstars must have trumped Ultimate Bet's offer. I would have thought that Joe Cada might have some obligation to Ultimate Bet since he was originally wearing their gear. Please elaborate.
