Two weeks ago I was in a lounge at Planet Hollywood watching Karaoke and ordered a simple rum & Coke. The cost for one small drink (no fruit) was $10. I think that's a lot for one shot of rum, plus the entertainment was terrible. It got me to thinking, what is the single most expensive drink in Las Vegas?

We just got back from Vegas several weeks ago where we managed to catch several shows including "Fantasy" at the Luxor. Very good choreography and the one male performer just about stole the show from the girls. My wife made the comment "How in the world did those girls manage to stay 'nippy' throughout a hour and a half show? That's not natural." I said that I sure had no idea but I knew somebody who might. How DO they do it?

LVA sold a Las Vegas Daily 2005 image-a-day historical calendar several years back. The June 3 image featured a beautiful enormous Old-West-style bar in 1908 and said that "The Arizona Club ... had inside the most outstanding feature ... the massive $23,000 red-mahogany main bar, made by the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company of Chicago ... The bar will end up in the Horn Room of the Last Frontier after the club closes in 1941." Does anyone know if the bar was salvaged from the Last Frontier, or was it lost in the demolition?

Walking down the street, between Bally's and Bill's (on the way to Ellis Island), we noticed on the sidewalk in front of an empty lot, all these great jazz artists names in the sidewalk in gold lettering. What was there? This has been bothering me for about a year.

I was reading Dave Matthews’ blog and he wrote "I went to play a little bit of video poker and was playing 26 lines at $1 each. The frequent video poker players out there will know why I was playing 26 lines." Why play only 26 lines?
