On our last trip to Las Vegas (October), we took a day trip out to Valley of Fire. Wow. We've been coming to Vegas for two decades and never realized what a beautiful park was so close. Though all the rock formations are spectacular, we were most taken with the petroglyphs. Can you shed some light on their origins and significance?

We're coming out to Las Vegas on Christmas Day and staying through till Saturday 29th. I plan on asking my girlfriend to marry me and giving her the ring. Are there any über-romantic shows, or sites in Vegas where she could feel like the star she is? I've called a couple of shows to see if they would help me pop the question and I got a cold shoulder.

I just went through the QoD archives re: entertainment and couldn't find this addressed: How about an updated list of Vegas daytime shows, e.g. Ron Lucas and Mac King, which I know of. Thanks.

I heard a potential new Las Vegas urban legend yesterday. The story is that the 40,000 Brits that came to Las Vegas for the Mayweather-Hatton fight were able to drink the MGM Grand dry of beer. Then the MGM had to scramble to buy beer at many of the local liquor stores. Could this possibly be true?

Do you think Las Vegas should be the capital of Nevada? After all, that’s where the people are. That’s where the money is. And therefore, that’s where the power is. Shouldn’t the political power be concentrated where the population and economic power is?
