There was always one small enjoyment that drew me to the Stardust: I don't know how many thousands of dollars I gambled away in that place, only because I wanted a bowl of that fantastic chili at the sports book concession stand! I know of several colleagues who think the same way. Does the Stardust even know what a treasure they have on their hands? They need to find a way to save that chili recipe and make sure it's available when the new place opens. Otherwise, the boys from Cleveland may have to find a new vacation destination.

What makes the distinctive smells inside the casinos? Mirage and TI have a sweet tropical smell of coconut. The Tropicana smells of smoke and incense sticks. Are these "scents" created and how does the smell stay so strong throughout the casino?

In the answer on 1/31/06, Deke Castleman mentioned that the Meadow Valley Wash just north of Las Vegas is an aquifer "the total extent of which is still largely unknown." How can that be? Hasn't anyone drilled wells to measure it? And is this water available to the Las Vegas Water District for growth?
