In Vegas last week, I took a cab from Bally's to the Marriott Grand Chateau by the MGM. The driver was going along the backside of Bally's, when a woman tried to flag him down, unaware he had a fare. He stopped, got out of the cab, and told her he had a fare, but asked where she was going. She was going the other direction, but another couple behind her said they were going to the Hard Rock hotel, which was in the direction we were going, so he picked them up!!! Isn't that illegal? He was basically double dipping because he got a full fare from me and a full fare from the other two. I didn't know these people and honestly, I thought it was skeevy of him to add two other passengers to my ride. I didn't get the driver's name or license but after thinking about it, it seems wrong to pick up "side" fares.

I was wondering what the status of the Blue Angel is. Isn't it due to be taken down? She is one of my favorite things to go by and see. I make my sisters ride the bus that goes by her every time we visit your wonderful city.

I’ll be coming to Vegas in a couple of weeks and I’m wondering if the law concerning cell-phone use while driving is strictly enforced? If my rental car doesn’t come with a GPS, I’d like to use my smart phone as one. How about passengers using a phone? Is that allowed?

Are there any full-service gas stations on or near the Strip so I don't have to pump my gas before returning my rental car?

Will the free Coast Casinos shuttle still run to Bill's while it's closed for remodeling?

With the closing of Bill's Gamblin' Hall in early February 2013, what will happen with the shuttle service from Bill's to the Gold Coast and Orleans? Also, what will happen with the Tix4Tonight service that was at this location?

The current LVA newsletter mentioned MGM’s CityCenter selling 427 condo units at Veer to a New York investment firm for an average price of $279,000. Are all the units purchased studio units or one- or two-bedroom units? And will the new owners plan to do with these recently acquired units?

There are several white Boeing 737s with a red stripe but no other markings parked on the general aviation side of McCarran airport. They seem to fly in and out every day. Who do they belong to and where are they going? Area 51?

It seems like Las Vegas has become the Pedestrian-Accident Capital of the World. Any reasons why? What is being done? I see people jaywalk all the time on the Strip and the police seem to turn a blind eye.

Can we get a taxi driver to stop off at the Vegas sign for a photograph, wait while we queue, then carry on to M Resort (from Bellagio). We are confused about the rules regarding when and where taxis will pick up, etc. I note it is a long walk in either direction to a hotel pick-up point.
