What is going on at the rental car facility? The main entrance area has been being "remodeled" for the past two years. That building is not that old. Is there a story?

I have flown in and out of Vegas many times. The landing and take-off patterns are always different. What determines these patterns?

I searched the archives and didn't find any statistics on how many taxis are in Vegas, how many are typically on the road during peak vs. off peak times, etc. I'm curious what percent of the total taxis the 80 represent.
