I was scrolling through Las Vegas on Google Maps and at first thought I was seeing things. but Lake Sahara? I see numerous homes have boats/docks. Is it a real lake or man-made? Just seems a little out of place.

What is going on with the Blue Moon Resort/Hotel? I know it closed a while back. Did it ever re-open as another hotel. And I thought I read the old owner was looking to re-open another hotel.

As the World Series of Poker is in full swing at the Rio, I wonder what ever happened to all the talk of moving it to Caesars? Seems like the new CEO of Caesars would love the publicity the event brings to be focused on their premier property.

I stayed downtown at the end of June and on my morning run east on Fremont I noticed that ALL the motels past the Experience, including the larger Western, were closed and fenced off. Are there plans for those parcels, or is it a case of the city trying to get the "characters" that stayed at those places away from the area?

What is happening out at Lake Las Vegas? We were there two years ago, and there was nothing going on. A few shops and restaurant were open, but really no reason for visiting.

One of the questions asked in the June 30 QOD requesting info about the Wynn golf course was how many rounds of golf were played there. Is that info available?

In the Los Angeles Times today there was mention of Bonnie Springs Ranch which is near Red Rock Canyon. In all of my trips to Las Vegas and being an LVA member, I have never heard of it. It sounds a bit like Oatman [a former mining town and current tourist attraction in Arizona] but is only 22 miles from the Strip. Is it worth checking out?

I recall reading that Harrah’s was going to remodel their casino and later heard that they were going to start remodeling their rooms. I was thinking of staying there this October. What, if any, progress has been made regarding all of the remodeling?

When recently downtown at the Container Park, I noticed what looked like new construction on a dome-shaped structure called The Venue. Looking for any info you might have on this.

I know Las Vegas has a farmers market. My question is, what do they grow?
