Las Vegas travel/spending habits: Reader Poll feedback.

I was curious how many total hotel rooms each of the major casino companies (not hotels) has in Las Vegas. For example, how many rooms does MGM Resorts or Caesars Entertainment have to fill each night? What about Station Casinos or Boyd Gaming? Or even Wynn or the Venetian? In terms of marketing, the sheer volume of rooms to fill every day must be enormous.

I recently wrote you asking, "Where did the King Tut Museum go?" I found it at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum downtown! So, now I must ask, what else did they remove from Luxor in 2008 to de-theme it, besides the "excavation site" at the buffet? What remains there that's Egyptian-themed (besides the Sphinx)?

We visited Las Vegas the last week of March and we knew about some of the halt of construction on the Strip. Could you update us on the status of the progress of the casinos that are partially built as to their names and locations on the Strip? Are some going to be finished and opened, especially the one with the large blue windows?

Various news articles from October 2011 reported that Wayne Newton planned to open his house, Casa de Shenandoah, for public tours starting in January or February 2012. Have the tours begun yet? If not, is there an updated schedule for when they will begin?
