Every year we go to Vegas (we stay downtown), we notice more and more emphasis on Hawaiian themes, Hawaiian food offerings, and info that caters to Hawaiian guests. When and how did that trend begin? We like it!

Anyone who has driven around the Las Vegas Valley or been a LVA subscriber for any length of time is probably at least aware of Lee’s Discount Liquor stores. This chain has been a frequent "Best of Las Vegas" winner and seems to be involved in a number of charitable events. Can you tell me a little more about the owner, Mr. Hae Un Lee, and his business interests, which I understand include Woonam Jung, a Korean restaurant located on Spring Mountain Road?

One morning last week during a stay at the Wynn, my wife went jogging while I went for a walk. She ran around the outside of the Wynn property including the golf course three times. I walked from the Wynn down to Mandalay Bay and back. She, of course, went faster but who went farther?

A couple of years ago your office had a story about your view of the Strip being blocked by the building of some hotel, a Westin, I believe? At any rate, was that hotel/building every completed? I don’t remember all of the details, just that your view would be blocked once the building gained height as it was constructed.

What can you do in a car ... with your cell phone? You can’t hold it and text or talk, but can you use a hands-free device to make or receive calls?

If there were 300,000+ people on the Strip, and a very large crowd downtown, does that make Vegas the biggest gathering to celebrate New Year's in the world?

We just got back from a stay downtown, and we noticed lighted metal art, over 4 stories high, on a couple of sites on Charleston. Are they paint brushes? Candles? Torches? Are they seasonal or part of some program?

Any idea if the music played with the fireworks on New Year's night will be played on any of the radio stations in town?

Will the casinos have anything special planned for Chinese New Year ?
