Where is the Spring Preserve? What is the attraction of going there and how do I get there from the Strip?

Other than drinking green beer, are there any special events in Las Vegas for St. Patrick's Day (Mar 17th)?

Whenever I visited Las Vegas, I would play at Casino MonteLago. I liked the small non-smoky casino and its full-pay video poker machines. Tied into the twists and turns of Lake Las Vegas, the casino had its own share of drama. How about giving us an overview of its history and likely return this coming May. As I plan a May visit to Las Vegas, when in May is the casino scheduled to be reopened?

Why is there a bend in Las Vegas Blvd starting north of Caesars and Harrah's and heading northeast to downtown? Usually there is some geography (river, mountain, etc.) that requires a change in direction of a road.

Caesars Palace has claimed that the "crystal chandelier" in its Palace Casino is the world's biggest. Does the new chandelier bar at The Cosmopolitan now take the title?

We were downtown Las Vegas this past weekend and they have characters walking around, like Batman, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Gumby, and lots of others. Are they "panhandlers" or homeless people? They ask for donations after you take pictures of them. Even have a drummer playing on everything but the kitchen sink.

OK, now that you mentioned Summerlin (in QoD 2/5/2011), what’s up with "The Lakes," NV, which seems to be an official post-office designation, yet isn't it really just Las Vegas? CitiBank credit card bills have been addressed "The Lakes, NV" for decades.

What's the latest news with Lake Las Vegas? They certainly have had their ups and downs.
