With the current economy, it looks more and more like Echelon Place will NEVER be completed. How long do the building permits last and, if they expire, can the city demand the finished portion to be torn down? It only seems logical that all permits would have some kind of "reasonable progress to completion" clause that would require some movement by the builders. The north end of the Strip is looking more and more like a trash heap.

Could somebody please tell me what "bottle service" is.

In addition to having fun in Vegas, I have been to many conventions and conferences in Vegas over the years. Between the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Sands Expo Center, the Mandalay Convention Center and all the various hotels on the strip and around town does anyone know how many square feet of convention space there actually are in Vegas?

Often I read about the casinos of the Boulder Strip and North Las Vegas. Would you give us a list of which casinos are in each area. I'm confused.

We visit a few times a year and like to do something non-gambling for the weekend, then hit the casinos and gamble and drink all week. Basically, we arrive late Friday, then have all day Sat./Sun. to enjoy the outdoors. Then we spend Monday-Friday in the casinos. So far over the years, we've visited Death Valley, Zion/Bryce, Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, and Valley of Fire. Are there any other hidden gems around we should try to visit for scenery and hiking? We've been to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but not the North Rim, which is much closer to Las Vegas.

I haven't been to M Resort for the buffet but why is it in the Top 10 if it costs more than the buffet at Mandalay Bay, which is a pretty good buffet? Why is the gamblers special at Mr. Lucky's not included in the Top 10? Do the casinos pay to get on the list?

I usually visit Las Vegas in March, but I have never been in town for St Patty's Day. Are there any special events or "hot spots?"
