I was wondering what the average tourist spends on gambling per day in Las Vegas. Has the average dropped significantly during the current recession?

I recently stayed at the Encore and had a room on the 55th floor (or so I thought). In the elevator, there are no buttons for floors 40 through 49. I work in a 20-story building in Atlanta where there is no button for the 13th floor; why are there no floors in the 40s at the Encore? Do other Vegas properties have "missing" floors?
