Having just read that Hawaii is the 7th largest of markets for gamblers to Las Vegas, it made me wonder what cities are in the rest of the top ten.

I read in an earlier "Question of the Day" that Orson Welles lived in Las Vegas. What more can you tell me about that?

I subscribed to What's On magazine back on March 3, 2009. I have received only one magazine in seven weeks. When I call them, they always promise me they'll send the next issue to me the next day, but I never receive them. My question is, are they going under due to the economy?

Is there any such thing as a map or a guide to the "homes of the stars" for Las Vegas?

I’ve seen the big neon cowboy downtown, I think he’s called Vegas Vic? Is it true that there are other versions of him elsewhere in state? I’ve heard of a Laughlin Larry.

We just bought a vacation condo and was wondering can you get a state ID card in Nevada to show "Local" residence while having a driver's license in your home state? We would like to be able to take advantage of offers for locals.

Deke Castleman's travelogue (QoDs 4/29-30/09) reminded me of a time I drove through a good chunk of northern Arizona and southern Nevada. I remember stopping at a small town that at the time had a some homes, gas station, a couple bar/casinos and most importantly a chamber of commerce or visitor center. After looking at brochures, I asked if anything nearby was worth seeing. The lady suggested, if I wanted to see something unusual and was open-minded (she said many of the local people did not appreciate what was on display), I should go a short drive to the home and workplace of an artist who had moved there and look at the outdoor sculptures. It seems to me there was a large Last Supper made of concrete, and I certainly remember a very large standing painted naked lady made of concrete blocks. Unfortunately I had no camera. Does anyone at Huntington Press know of what I remember?

I've noticed that most of Las Vegas' strip clubs are located away from the Strip. Are any strip clubs located among the main Strip casinos?

You mentioned in your April 28, 2009, QOD that there are current and former employees who retain casino hotel room key card codes. If that is the case, is the room safe a secure place to keep your valuables or are those compromised as well?

On the recommendation of Las Vegas Advisor, my wife and I went to Irene’s to try the breakfast. We opened the door and the cigarette smoke hit us right in the face. We sat down with the intent of eating, but we were overcome by the smoke and left. Please explain how LVA can recommend this establishment, as it is clearly breaking the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act. I have been to many bars, taverns, and restaurants in Las Vegas and this is the only place I have encountered violating the law. I would think a retraction should be forthcoming.
