I recently heard from a friend that the "Strip" is not actually within the City of Las Vegas. I do remember seeing a Clark County Emergency Fire Vehicle in front of a Strip hotel on a visit earlier this year but I was under the impression the Strip was patrolled by the Las Vegas Police Department.
