Question of the Day - 27 September 2017

Q:

New Reader Poll

A:

This poll is on your favorite 11 upscale buffets, which, believe it or not, we haven't asked about since 2004. Our criterion is the price of the regular dinner spread is more than $30, which limits it to the 11 top buffets in the Buffet Capital. And you can vote for as many as you like.

    Other buffets
You can't beat the Suncoast Buffet down in Henderson, my wife's favorite. For both price and quality. All a matter of taste. Most memorable was oddly Excalibur potato soup on their buffet. I went back for three bowls. I have only eaten there once. I like the Fremont buffet when staying downtown.

You limited the choices, but I'd like to add my vote for the M buffet, lunch, dinner or Fri-Sun seafood buffet. I make it a point to get there at least a few times during my annual 4-5 week stay. The included wine and coffee/liqueur bar are bonuses. And desserts--oh, yum.

We always make a point of going to M for the best buffet for the price. You need to have another survey for us little people that can't afford the high end buffets.

    Buffets
My favorite is the Thursday night ' New York Deli' buffet at the Rampart Hotel in Summerlin . Where else can one have unlimited matza ball soup, corned beef, pastrami, lox, whitefish salad, Dr. Browns soda, potato knishes, potato latkes, black and white cookies, short ribs, brisket, kosher hot dogs, and noodle kugel?

    Buffets
Frankly, I don't like buffets. If I'm going to pay that much for a meal, I at least want to be served. Also, since my right hand isn't all that steady, it's really difficult to serve food or carry plates to the table. So I'll take the coffee shop any day.

    Best Buffet
My favorite every time I go to Las Vegas is to go to the Bellagio. To be honest I don't care what the price is for my one splurge during my trip. Mostly I love the Chillian Sea Bass and steaks. I have found the food is fresh and hot or cold depending what it is. I really look forward to this buffet and have never been disappointed.

The M buffet - our favorite
The BEST mainstream buffet, great food without all the fancy stuff. beer and wine a bonus. Always spend a few days after staying on the strip. Good games, good food, great staff, good music. Get a free buffet with out using points if you play enough in 1 day, we are 25-50 players and have no problem meeting this every day.
