Easier comnps, when you could chat with the pit and they would give you a comp or say, "Give me another half hour of play".

Cafes. The resonably priced breakfast/lunch type.

Live Keno. Stand alone and/or in cafes and lunch type restaurants.

    Flip-It machines.

Bathtubs. Hotels are remodeling bathrooms with showers only. I need a nightly soak!

Ditto the comment on free parking

    Buffets
Bring back the buffets. I don't understand why Station Casinos remodeled all their buffets and then closed them. I nearly always played when I went to the buffets. Of course, I am not a High Roller.

  • George Alexander Jan-09-2025
    Las Vegas
I had been going frequently to Vegas from 1967-going less and less over the years- the New Vegas has lost any of its charm due to large corporate conglomerates changing the atmosphere, higher prices than normal inflation, less perks, parking charges, resort fees etc. No reason for traveling longer distances to go to Vegas.

  • SCOTT Jan-09-2025
    Reasonably Priced Food
I hate how we've convinced ourselves that $20 for a hamburger (no fries or drink) isn't a bad price.

  • Lucky Jan-09-2025
    Servers and slot attendants
Remember when you ordered a drink at a slot, and you did not have to wait 30 minutes or have to look for a server? How about the lack of slot attendants? Used to get paid in less than 10 minutes. Now, it takes 20 minutes for an attendant to lock the machine, then 30 minutes longer to get paid. I like TITO. Did not like handling all those dirty coins. Of course, I am a hypocrite, I have no problems handling cash.

  • John Foisy Jan-09-2025
    Buffets
Buffets. Coffee shops serving breakfast, lunch and dinner--they were always a great alternative to expensive restaurants--why did Aria close the best one in Vegas? Food courts/halls are a terrible idea. I miss live Keno but understand why the casinos don't like it.

  • Rick Elliott Jan-09-2025
    Dress Code
I'd love to see a strict dress code for shows

Mardi Gras show in the sky at the Rio. Seafood buffet at Rio. Stardust and Westward Ho. Shows priced so average guy could go. Rolls of nickels given if you showed your airplane ticket. Fitzgerald’s. The Hacienda and many other good memories of old Vegas.

  • Sandra Ritter Jan-09-2025
    Buffets
I like the one at Planet Hollywood before the water damage reduced the size and items offered, and Paris was the best. The food tasted home cooked.

    Best Video Poker Machines
I would like to bring back a lot of things, but one thing that hasn't been detailed by others is the selection of the best VP machines from the old days, in terms of both EV and fun. I never got to play it, but there was a 20/8/7/6 version of Joker Poker that paid back over 102%, as well as a couple games that were over 101%, like the famous top-pay Loose Deuces at Fitzgerald's / The D. On the fun side, the Plaza used to have full-pay (though under 100%) 5-Joker Poker and 4-Joker Poker, and they were more fun to play than any other game. Going under the 101% mark, there used to be the good old 100.92% Downtown Deuces at the Las Vegas Club and the El Cortez. Below that, full-pay Deuces Wild (100.76%) used to be everywhere, but not anymore; and then finally full-pay Joker Poker (100.65%). Casinos didn't used to mind or worry about players playing "Advantage" games like these, but now they do, so these wonderful games are a thing of the past.

Frre chance to win your airfare back.
Vacation Village and the Continental both had free airfare wheels that you could take a spin on. You often won matchplay coupons or BOGO at the buffet or coffee shop. A fun way to kick off a Vegas trip.

    Poker rooms
Bring back all (or most) of the poker rooms that have been shut down by the accountants who don't have the vision to recognize the value of the traffic brought into their casinos by hosting the room. There are a lot of properties I just don't bother visiting, let alone staying at, because they no longer deal poker. So other places get my room, meal, and machine play budget. I miss the variety.
