Question of the Day - 30 March 2026

Q:

What can you tell us about Clint Holmes. Always looked forward to seeing him perform.

A:

In 1999, singer Clint Holmes, known for his silky vocals and warm comedic style, made the move from Atlantic City to Las Vegas. It was considered risky by some to leave his loyal following back east, but after cutting his teeth downtown at the Golden Nugget, Holmes embarked on a five-year run at Harrah's on the Strip, which renamed its showroom for him.

In addition to being a popular headliner, Holmes became an active member of the Las Vegas community, working with several local causes and hosting numerous fundraising events.

In September 2006, Holmes performed his final show at Harrah's, but he still pops up from time to time on the Las Vegas entertainment scene. Also in 2006, he premiered his self-penned show, Just Another Man, at UNLV’s Judy Bayley Theatre.

Nowadays, Holmes maintains an active performing calendar in and out of Las Vegas. Venues that have recently hosted Holmes include the Studio at Mizner Park in Florida and 54 Below in New York. He's always working on new music and, we're told, has a book and another one-man theater piece titled If Not Now When in the works.

Holmes remains connected to Las Vegas as an artist-in-residence alumnus at the Smith Center and continues to mentor young artists in the area.

    Loved his shows
We were surprised. Had never heard of him. First time to see him at Harrah's we were astounded at his great voice and showmanship.
So much so that we always saw his show when in town. At times he featured his mom, 80+ years old, sitting in the audience, had her sing the a verse of "Summertime" from the opera Porgy and Bess. Beautiful high soprano, especially for a voice at her age. Clint's sister also sang in the show. He seemed like a really good man, family man, no pretense.

    He was great
Had a great voice and very entertaining. As Candy said, no pretense. Just a nice show and a much-needed break from the gaming floor.
