Q:

New Reader Poll: What are your favorite Las Vegas attractions/rides/tours?

A:

We're often asked about the must-see attractions, rides, and tours in Las Vegas. The LVA staffers, of course, all have their own favorites, so this poll lists the 50 top things to do in Las Vegas. With thousands of votes, we'll be able to offer an LVA consensus.

Speed, the Ride used to be my favorite attraction, but it's no longer. Wish tthey would bring it back.

Pinball Hall of Fame - MIA
My #1 favorite thing to do (non-casino) is the Pinball Hall of Fame. Sorry to see it not included in this poll. Maybe next time?

    Pirate Show at TI
The Sirens of TI would have been at the top of my list. Went there every time we went to Vegas. Always took our friends who were 1st time visitors there with us. I don't think I have been to that part of the Strip since the outdoor show at TI closed.

    Casa de Shenandoah
I clicked a number of these, but I also loved my visit to Wayne Newton's Case de Shenandoah. Exceeded my expectations - the tour was a good hour longer than advertised. Especially recommended for fans, people who love beautiful architecture and landscaping, and, of course, lovers of beautiful Arabian horses. The fact that I was able to talk about meeting Aramus when he was young definitely connected with the guide.

    other choices
I see all the Bellagio fountain comments, but we also really like the displays in their Conservatory and Botanical Garden. I also agree with the Silverton Fish tank. There are also so many choices on the list that I could have checked off almost half of them. Going to Vegas should be (and is) a widely varied experience. We never see all the things on our list, but that makes for a good excuse to go back soon.

    Favorites in LV
Definitely the Pinball HoF is on our list. We've visited several times, and have taken friends with us as well. We also enjoyed Valley of Fire Park, even more so than Red Rock. And you don't list the Container Park. Interesting concept there. We've especially enjoyed the Mob Museum and the Atomic Testing Museum. My husband tells everyone about the Area 51 exhibit there. We regularly recommend those to people when we know they're visiting LV. And finally, we did visit the Erotic Heritage Museum, and while it might not be for everybody, it was definitely "enlightening" and worth a one-time trip, if you're open-minded enough.
