Downtown, How You Get Food Delivered to Your Room?

When staying at a hotel on Fremont Street what places are there that will deliver food to you? Will apps like Grubhub deliver to your hotel room?

And at the bottom of the page is the link to the smoking poll, which launches today.

They will, in some instances.

Downtown hotels fall into two groupings: laid-back and strict.

The first group — Golden Nugget, Golden Gate, and The D — allow food deliveries to your room.

The second and larger group requires that you meet the delivery person at the front desk. Hotel Apache at Binion's, El Cortez, Plaza, Downtown Grand, and Four Queens all fall under this rubric. (This is a revision of an more relaxed pre-pandemic policy on the part of Binion’s.)

As for the Boyd Gaming properties — California, Fremont, and Main Street Station — spokesman David Strow says, “For security reasons, guests have to come downstairs to meet their delivery driver, as we do not permit them to go up to the rooms directly. That applies across our Las Vegas properties, not just downtown.”

How do they know?

Unless the elevator requires a room key (and I don't think that's common downtown) how would security at the hotel know? A delivery person is just a person carrying bags up to a room right? I'd think the bigger problem in getting delivery would be if you stay in a hotel that charges for parking.  The delivery person might turn down the job because the cost of parking wipes out their profit, on top of the overall hassle of delivering to a downtown hotel compared to a person's house...

Why would you come to Vegas and have food delivered to your room? What happened to room service?? Are you going to have virtual gambling from your room?  Some Vegas casinos are apparrently  considering this. Everyone should face it. Vegas is on life support. If the crab with corona hoax is not ended they will be going off life support
