Sorry to ask you to revisit this question, but being a local, I would like an update as to where you can park for free on the Strip. I get confusing information and the last several times we’ve gone, we had to pay.
We answered this question less than three months ago, but since then, it's been asked several times; when a local submits a question like this, we like to respond.
Also, we got some excellent comments the last time we ran it, so those have been incorporated into this answer.
Here's the list of Strip casinos (and non-casino hotels and shopping malls) that don't charge for parking (from north to south):
STRAT
Sahara
Circus Circus
Wynn/Encore
Resorts World (self-parking; there's a charge for valet)
Venetian/Palazzo
Trump Tower
Fashion Show Mall
Treasure Island
Casino Royale
Tropicana (fees are charged for events at Allegiant Stadium)
And here's where you'll find free parking close enough to the Strip to walk:
OYO
Tuscany
Westin
Royal Resort
Ellis Island (some consider this a long walk)
If you're in very good shape, it's not 110 degrees and higher out, and you're up and have time for a long walk, you can park for free at:
Rio
Gold Coast
Palms
Wild Wild West
