Q:

New Reader Poll: What's your number-one favorite buffet?

A:

Can we prevail on you all for one more buffet poll?

This one is for your one all-time favorite buffet, the one you'd eat at if you could eat at only one and if price is no object.

    Casino "hold"
I realize that the house edge or casino "hold" varies with each game - from Keno to video poker. But taking all games (including slots and video poker) what is the average payout percentage (house edge, casino hold)?
    Thank You

    Pahrump
I know you are "Las Vegas' Advisor but you have produced QOD's about other Nevada Casino towns like Laughlin. So why not Pahrump? Like togays QOD, out of town buffets should have been considered. Yes Pahrump only has five main casino's and a few Mom and Pop's but I'd rate any of their buffets better than any I encountered when I lived in Las Vegas and less expensive also with NO PARKING CHARGES. In fact LVA your staff should reconnoiter Pahrump since I think it may have been many years age since your last visit.

    Can't answer this
Today's buffet question is a bit lacking. First, there is no way for most folks to know which buffet they would like to eat at the most, because they haven't eaten at all buffets, because many buffets are far too expensive for these people to be able to eat at. There's a very good chance that one of those high-priced buffets would be their top choice. Second, it isn't clear whether the question means "if you could eat at any buffet one time" vs. "if you could only eat at one buffet for the rest of your life". Of the buffets I've eaten at, I thought that the one at Paris was the most distinctive, and would be a good choice for an only-time buffet. But I would not want that to be the only buffet I would eat at for the rest of my "eating life"; the novelty would wear off in short time.
