The aquarium and slide at Golden Nugget’s pool are closed for the rest of the season. Why? And where were the animals relocated?
According to the friendly folks at the Golden Nugget front desk, there was “an emergency shutdown” of the shark tank after it sprang a leak. Hence, the slide has been taken out of commission for the season, although the pool remains in operation.
As for the whereabouts of the sharks, they’re currently luxuriating at Mandalay Bay in the Shark Reef Aquarium, enjoying the hospitality of MGM Resorts International … and hopefully not snacking on the other aquatic critters.
